Balenciaga Spring 22: ClonesDirected by Quentin Deronzier

In the Balenciaga Spring 22 fashion show directed by Quentin Deronzier, the artist Eliza Douglas seems to be the only one modelling the 44 looks. To be able to make this dream a reality, Douglas was cloned. For that matter, Quentin Deronzier deployed a range of digital post-production processes : planar tracking, rotoscoping, machine learning and 3D modeling. Combined with a soundtrack from an AI bot ‘singing’ La Vie En Rose, the result was hyper-real. Throughout the show, our sense of reality is constantly questioned.
